Got a new 4"er, a S&W 325JM 45ACP via some horse trading. Unfortunately, it has a nasty blemish on the side of its face. That'll remove any reluctance to shoot the snot out of it though.
I like the JM grips, though I haven't shot it yet. Action is tight as a tick. The DA trigger is smooth, but heavy. I don't think the owner shot it much.
    That makes 3 big bore 4" N-frames now. 44Mag, 45Colt, and now 45ACP.

I had a 4" Model of 1989, which was one of the pre-lock forerunners of that model. I used it mostly with 45 AR brass and 250-grain bullets, at which point it started to act like a Model 29 so I went back to the Model 29.

Sweet piece, though. I might get another one now that I'm older, possibly wiser, and definitely more recoil-shy.

    Thanks.

I may or may not use 45AR brass with it, but I'm not going to be pushing it hard. I have a 44mag if I need mo' powa'.

I do want to put a red dot on it and turn it into a dedicated pin gun.

It's a shooter. I ran a half box through it yesterday and found it easy to shoot and accurate. I love the JM grips.
