    Well, more info has been posted. It was not “found” in the property room, it was brought in by a citizen and left as “abandon property”. Probably Some old lady whose husband dies, and they hate the gun they found in his closet.

    The OP on Facebook has taken our admonishment to heart, and has written a memo to the chief to ask the gun be donated to a museum or something, just not to destroy it. Fingers crossed...
