I shot the Phoenix Halloween Horror shotgun match this weekend. Ian from Forgotten Weapons did an amusing video of the match. You can see me shooting stage 2 @ 8:07, and hear me providing a soundtrack a bit earlier.

I shot a local match on Tuesday, and finished 2nd (97.72%) shooting my Glock 34 i Standard (limited) minor. The match was 5 stages, and I had 3 stage wins - Stage 2, 3 and 4.
I forgot to turn on my camera for stage 5, unfortunately.

I was mentally more sound for this match, no crappy no-shoots or mikes and edged out a decent performance. Too many extra shots though, it looks like I definitely need more shooting-on-the-move practice.

The classifier was a first for me. Never seen that shot ever, even on youtube.

The Movember Charity Match run by the DownZero crew is a yearly match to promote the awareness of Prostate Cancer. They combine the USPSA stage design principles but with IDPA scoring. It's a fun match for a good cause. If you're male above the age of 40, go get a yearly exam and start tracking your PSA levels. Early detection is the key to survival.

As for my match performance, it sucked. Well not quite, the stages were fun, I had some decent runs but I made a stupid decision to test some new primers and bombed stage 6. Since it's time+ scoring, that cost me the entire match.

So, learn from me, don't ever test anything at a match, big or small.

Toys for Tots Charity Match Paul Bunyan Dec 2015

    SO FRIGGING WET & COLD!

I told myself not to shoot a match when it's cold and pouring after my disastrous Marysville USPSA match a few months ago, but how can I not shoot this? it's a charity match for kids.

Some really crappy stages as my dot was all over the place. Need to make my target smaller, instead of a full target, just focus on the A zone.

A couple of good ones but not good enough. Good to hear that this match raised $2,000 in cash for the charity. Awesome! Glad to be part of it.

USPSA Classifier Match @ Custer Jan 2016 - Open Division

Another super cold day in the PNW. At least it was sunny and dry so it wasn't that miserable. I brought a warm coat and a propane Mr. Heater which helped out.

Didn't make GM this time but had a fun time shooting after the holidays, finally. So rusty.

    Classifiers are :
    - CM03-03 Take em' Down
    - CM03-04 3V
    - CM08-01 4 Bill Drill
    - CM09-04 Pucker Factor
    - CM08-03 Six
    - CM13-05 Tick Tock

I've got to post this video because it is the best match video I've ever seen. It's not mine but it is a person I shoot with. I think if you feel the same, give the video a thumbs up and comment.

What is so good is the video isn't of just him; it's of his squad mates too. Check it out. Very unique and high quality.
