Same match. Unlike the good Donovan, I shot like total crap. Just...terrible.

If the right scores get counted next month I should be just over 3% from GM. Amazing what calling your shots will do for you!

The camera doesn't show deltas and mikes though.

Honestly, just a bad day. If it had been a practice session I would have just packed it in and said "I'm going home." To really go into detail, the gun problems really got inside my head and hurt my focus. The only stage where I was really calling my shots and feeling good about things was Paper Poppers where I made up the miss on the popper just automatically. I never really found my stride the whole match.

I am glad I discovered the issue with the steel cased ammo here instead of waiting until area 1 to find it. Now I just need to rip my mags apart.

It happens. It's hard not having faith in your equipment. Don't beat yourself up for it... seriously, that will get you nowhere. Nothin to do but move forward... and fix that POS

What's interesting is that one of the areas I'd been struggling with, my short game footwork was really good this match. The two stages with short shuffle steps I had excellent movement on. One of these days I'll have a match with good footwork AND shooting.

Excellent! I think we can only really concentrate on working one thing at a time. Later they all coalesce. For a while there for me it was speed... now it's been calling my shots/accuracy. Going to start trying for speed again soon I think while maintaining the same points shot.

Really sucked it up today. Terrible points, loads of misses... Would love to blame the new gun but really it was just me. Oh well, nothing to do but learn and move on!

I was too focused on where to put my feet and stage planning, and neglected shooting points again... Old habits. Blah.
