Yes, the Registered Magnums were really nicely built and finished. Probably the best revolvers S&W ever manufactured.

Here's one a little "newer". Its a Pre-27 from 1950. S&W really did some nice bluing back then...

Between this and some of the other pics you’ve posted, reminds me I really need to get a time machine.

I posted these in the J-frame thread, but figured it might breathe a little life back into this thread to post them here. 60-10 I finally picked up after lusting after them for a bit. Wadcutter loads are not quite like shooting a .22, but close. .357 loads are a bit more "brisk" as they say, but I wont be shooting a ton of those through it. If you look closely you can see a strip of grip tape on the front of the trigger guard in the pics. I've since peeled that off and cleaned up the residue, and also cleaned the white paint someone pasted on the front sight. I need to find some leather, and I am planning on ordering a DSG Kydex holster for it as well. I'd also like to find some wood or G-10 grips that have a similar profile to the Uncle Mikes Combats... just to dress it up a bit.

I'm not a huge revolver guy, but I am finding them an enjoyable contrast to my usual combat tupperware self defense appliances.

This is a pawn shop find...3" 65-2. Looks like the barrel was swapped at one point (marked .38 S&W Special vice .357) and front site shaved and replaced. The action is so smooth! Just needs a better set of gips.

This gun is begging for a set of service panels with a Tyler T-Grip.
