Haven't had a chance to make it to this whole thread yet. Saw one of these today at my local dealer.

What are most people using for Optics? RDO's, LVPO's, etc ?

    1. What suppressor? I've been reading where the ones with less back pressure tend to work better, don't know if that's what you've got or not.

    2. Are you running that with the gas plug?

    Thanks

General question: how much force, if any, does the AUG impart to the shooter's cheek when firing? Aaron Cowan, in his recent series on bullpup rifles on YouTube, mentioned that bullpups in general hammer his cheek when firing; he did not mention the AUG, and it was not one of the rifles he tested in his series.

Depending upon new brace rules, the AUG becomes even more attractive.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

    Away, away, away, down.......
For some reason I’ve been thinking about how the original Steyrs were the short for a 20” barrel 5.56 and how 20” 5.56 guns are cool because: velocity.

Fortunately new guns seem to be rare in that barrel length and a new barrel is almost a grand; so I can remind myself I don’t need one.

I’ve never noticed anything of the sort.
