Tactical bonded is very good--unfortunately Federal does not seem to make a lot of it each year compared to HST and Gold Dot.

The Federal HST does have a cannelure which can help "bond" the jacket to the lead core. I think a cannelure may have helped the Federal 147 gr. Hydra-Shok in .38 Special +P+ outperform the 9mm version in FBI barrier testing.

Doc I was under the impression that HST and Gold Dot did quite well through barriers
HST and Gold Dot offer acceptable penetration against most intermediate barriers, however, the other loads mentioned (Horn Crit Duty, Speer G2, Win Bonded) are a bit better against barriers, although they offer less expansion than HST, Gold Dot, and Ranger Talon. Take your pick for what best works in your situation.

Has anyone tested the 9mm G2 with a '17' headcase stamp?

Has anyone had the gel seperate and fall out of a G2 round when carried ?
Just saw an instance of this. I’m guessing it’s still a Go,d Dot HP and should work as well as regular Gold Dot ?
Pieces flake off when unloading them from my mags. This concerns me.
