    Shotgun Follower Replacement (HFD2 Follower)

As I was shopping on Amazon for other stuff, I got one of these for the hell of it:

Anyone have any good or bad experiences with these?

Seems like a good idea, channels away dirt, buffer material, etc. in the mag tube.

I have never really had a problem with foreign debris in my shotgun magazine tube as a civilian. In the military, it was slightly different, but not much. The few times I carried a shotty, I simply kept it out of the goo.

I use a Vang Comp follower which has a hole in the center, because I like being able to verify the status of the tube with a wee little digit. I suppose it could let in dirt, or water, or alligators.

That's not meant as a smartastic answer. I just think that if you truly need something like that, you are better off increasing the PM intervals on you shotgun. As in, breaking it down and cleaning it multiple times a day.

If that does not work, I'd get a different weapon.
