I don't have a 1-4 NF to draw a meaningful comparison to my Vortex. Comparing to my 2.5 x 10 NF, the daytime visible dot is simply awesome on low mag / close targets. I am not sure if NF is philosophically opposed to incorporating that feature on their scopes, or they already have it.
