So yesterday I took the Ethos out for a spin and fired five boxes of assorted target / bird loads from it.

Taking it to a local trap range, everyone who handled it commented on just how light it was, the clean and elegant lines and how it just screamed quality. For 16 yard trap, I opted for the Modified choke, and averaged 22/25 on each run (with the misses being solely attributed to the idiot behind the gun).

On the last round, being the comedian that I am, I swapped the choke from Modified to Full, and let my father shoot a round of trap with it, not knowing he'd break 22/25 without batting an eye.

I did notice that the Ethos has more felt recoil than the A400 Xtreme, and while it was not punishing or unpleasant, I did notice it.

I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to shotgunning, but really do enjoy outings to the trap/skeet range.

Got a Briley 6 oz weighted end cap and extended IM ported choke coming to make it more suitable for trap.
