I'm envious. Gunny is one of the very few in Hollywood (though he would probably kick my ass for associating him with that crowd) that I would go out of my way to stroke their ego and ask for an autograph and or photo.

Yes, currently Wally World is the only place I can find reasonable prices on 5.56, locally. Now I just need time to go burn it. I'm really thinking about trying out 3gun. I've been meaning to call you about that.

I chatted with him at SHOT a few years ago. I told him that I enjoyed his role in "Saving Silverman" and that he ought to do more comedies. He was doing "Mail Call" on The History Channel at that time and he replied that he tried to interject some humor in that show. He told me that The History Channel gave him a little grief over that when developing the series and told him "Mr. Ermey, this is the The History Channel, not Comedy Central". He told me he replied "If you want it all dry and serious, then get G-- D----- Ollie North to host it".

Funny guy. Not a broad acting range, but if the part is written for him, he brings it off.

BTW - Just recently "The Siege of Firebase Gloria" finally became available on DVD. Mine's inbound from Amazon as this is written.
