Sandpaper would be nuts. I'd go with 00000 steel wool if I wanted to try to smooth things a bit. I've used it in shotgun chambers but never for a revolver.

Us Smith buffs like to tell ourselves that it's tight because they're match chambers, but I suspect that, as with SIG and XD sight cuts, it's that cutting tools cost money.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

For what had been the most expensive pistol I've ever purchased, I've been dissappointed in a few details. It's still a great shooting gun but it's not all I thought it would be.

Ammunition is indeed very important to running .22 pistols. My brother has had an Erma Walther PPK copy for years, it has always been reliable. Same for his Ruger Mk1. My S&W M18 revolver likes certain ammo better than others. Some sticks in the cylinder, some fails to fire on the first strike. My Advantage Arms .22 conversion for the 1911 has been 100% reliable with the CCI Hi Vel ammo recommended. I had a Beretta micro tip up .22pistol that loved hi Vel ammo but faltered on regular stuff.
