    J-Frame WML?

Saw this today from Mas Ayoob:

It looks pretty neat but I definitely see potential for holster problems along with the fact that the grip is considerably longer than the typical j-frame grip.
Link to some more pics at Cylinder&Slide and whatnot:

I'd love to see a version of this for a K/L frame so I could put one on my wife's 686 PLUS 3".

^^^This. I just can't get excited about sizing up a J frame that much and still only having 5 on tap, but something about the same size grip rig on a K (eg. my 3" 65) gets my tail wagging.

Most of my J-frame practice is SHO/WHO, so a handheld is very plausible for me. Not sure what this bringing to the table, other than extra length and weight.

Adds a light to the gun, but eliminates the ability to use a CTC laser grip. That's a non-starter for me on a J-Frame.

Neat idea, but like others have said, it removes the ability to use CTC grips and makes it effectively K-frame size in the butt. I would love to see this on a K/L frame gun, and somehow integrated with a laser a la CTC grips.

I agree that the incompatibility with the CT laser-grip makes this a no go for me.

I think at some point one has to realize that a J frame is a compromise, and with all compromises one has to give up certain capabilities. On a small frame handgun, you will often lose the capability for a light. Trying to make a small package as capable as a full size, you risk losing the very ease and concealability that took you to the J frame in the first place.

    I agree 562% with this.

    I agree!
I'd rather have a set of green laser grips and a handheld flashlight. Especially since I'm most likely to shoot my J-frame SHO.

Yeah, that's my hangup, too. I like lasers okay on other guns, but I REALLY like a laser on a J-frame.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.
