Nannyism is Fascism with training wheels

In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Our students don't need to be inundated with patriarchal, right wing, tea thug, gun bully and Islamophobic material whilst getting their education. To think otherwise is simply counter-revolutionary, Tovarish.

The NRA and religious stuff is one thing, but this...
For example, the Connecticut Republican Party website was blocked. The Connecticut Democratic Party website was not blocked.
...at a taxpayer-funded high school? I'd like to chip in on that court case. I love cases where the ACLU and NRA both write amicus briefs supporting the same side.

The most troubling part for me is that the folks that made these decisions think they're doing the right thing.
"Protecting" children from "evil". Likely the same for the bulk of their constituents.
    How do you fix that?

Liberty needs a better PR strategy. Something other than post-war bounce and "I told you so".

Continuing on that tangent, the "small-l", "big-L" L(l)ibertarian differences have really come to the fore (for me) recently.
Much like OC, the stigmas (deserved or not) associated with the big-L folks (anarchy, isolationism, etc.) seem to be casting a pall on the discourse coming from the small-l folks.
One of us needs to come up with a new moniker.

I bet they find the townspeople in Footloose risible for their puritanical and overprotective views.
