I shot some groups with my dad the other day. He's was a high-level bullseye shooter back in the day. He is determined to figure out the Gen 5 17 I gifted him last year. He started working the trigger like a short DA revolver and had a real ah ha moment. His groups went from eratic to very good in a matter of seconds. Your results and his results make me think there's something to running Glocks like a DA.

Checked the zero with a new front sight

Did a bunch of group shooting in lieu of my normal bullseye course to check the zero on a new front sight.

Shot this 150-point Aggregate; 5 freestyle, 5 SHO, 5 WHO, all slow fire.

    147-3x.

Freestyle shooting at 25 yds revisited

Representing the noobs, as always, shot a 79-2X (9 of 10 on paper!) yesterday with my Glock 19.5, AE9DP 115 range ammo.

I've been logging 25 yard scores since I started shooting in 2014. Over three guns, and five years, it seems like I shoot the Glock 19 the best:

First number is average, second is best:

    M&P 60.3 78.0
    VP9 57.3 83.0
    G19 74.3 87.0

Rick, it might be that as you have developed as a shooter, your skills at 25yd shooting have improved, so whatever pistol you are spending your time on today would have scored better than in the past.

    Just a thought.

That's quite possible. I have to sometimes stop and think when I started in 2014, my paper targets at 3 yards looked not unlike they'd been hit by a shotgun blast. I'm not much better now but at least they are more or less on target.

ETA: I shot a VP9SK as a rental last year, and I seem to recall putting 10 rounds in a (for me) pretty small group at 7 yards. So, yeah, could be, I have managed to pick up something in terms of skill over the years. Got a long way to go, however, that is for sure.

I'm impressed by everyone here! My goal recently has been to get 5 shots from a j-frame on target. Most recent attempt was 2/5 (though 4/5 were on paper...better from the 0/5 when I started!)
