Lanterne rouge -- so bad I needed a bigger target! (this 9 ring is 6.0")

That was the best of 5 attempts and *felt* really really good. But even if I exclude the high flyer (one shot did break while the sights were wobbling a bit above the bullseye), the 9 shot group was still 5.7 inches.

I even tried from a kneeling position with hands resting on the shooting stall platform, but didn't group any better. I'll try some different ammo next time.

First five rounds (slow fire) from today’s Bullseye course using a new 9mm 1911.

The remainder was strong, but unremarkable; 287-3x. Right bias could have been the sun. I will shoot it as is for a few weeks before making any adjustments.
    C Class shooter.

    Sick! WC for the win!

I shot your 300 today with my RTF2 G17. Experimented with cross eye shooting, using my left eye as its seeing the sights way better than my right for slowfire, then returned to dominant right eye for timed fire. Started ok with a 47 then spiraled down to a 250. But consistently poor across those strings.

Finally got outside for some true 25 yard shooting not with indoor range restrictions or lighting.

First 2 tries were just okay, third finally put something together I approve of. These sights were installed new by me in the fall and probably need drifted a bit still.

It's fun to post up pictures of a particularly good or even personal best target. However, sometimes I thing it's equally valuable to post up our reality too. Sort of the opposite of "insta-perfection" that seems to permeate our industry to the point that folks are speeding up videos, etc. So here we go. I shot 60 rounds today at 25yd B8's. 6 separate strings of 10-shots each. I'm going to post all of them just as a reminder that even if you post up a 99 sometimes, that may not equate to your "On-demand" performance. That's another trap we fall into as shooters is remembering our great performances while quickly forgetting our bad ones and then in our mind our "On-demand" is cast as what we remember, which is really our "best-ever." So, while I may be capable of shooting high-90's on 25yd B8's, the reality is that my "on-demand" is only mid-90's. Keep training and breaking those glass ceilings. Once you can shoot 100's On-demand, then do it at 50yds!

Figured I might as well spend some time on this here and there. My "best ever" targets are low enough that I have no delusions about them. I sure appreciate you guys posting up your work at 25. It let's me see what is possible and motivates me to start the process. I remember missing the whole USPSA target a couple of times at 25 during the shot calling portion of Gabe's class last June.

For grins, 5 shots at 25 with a P365 demo gun on an IDPA practice target.
