There you go. I was telling my son to concentrate on managing his sight alignment more in the vertical plane.

My 17-year-old is the top shooter in his police cadet Post and I'm sure can out-shoot most of the cops in the dept. (one of the officers who runs the cadet program told me that.) He will be shooting Thursday evenings with his Post in preparation for a competition this coming Spring. Last Spring he took 3rd place out of 300+ cadets using a Sig 226 and he had never fired a DA/SA pistol before the competition. This year he is 'shooting" for #1.

Respectfully, most anyone can out shoot a large majority of police departments.

There are, of course, a few exceptions among the ranks.

I am thrilled to hear that he's part of a post that competes with other cadets. I thought that was a thing of the past with police departments. Here's to hoping he trains hard and takes that number one slot this spring. My boy is 19 now and has been shooting with me for most of his life. I cherish those hours we spent together on ranges and I hope that when/if he produces grandchildren, I can spend time on ranges with them as well.

    Regards.

Really liking the P10c after the first 3,500 rounds. I hope the reliability holds up over time.

Struggling at the 50 but I’m improving. On looking again I think that top one is a 97.

Where did you have to hold for that crazy good 50 yard shooting?

I had to hold at the middle of the Black instead of my usual 6 o’clock “ lollipop” hold. I had a second target up that I was dialing in shots with and warming up.

Some of those are 9mm rounds.

@lwt16 50 yard shooting is mysterious. I can't figure out what pattern to look for at 25 yards re POI to be predictive of 50. Just got to shoot a bunch per gun.

Yeah, I’m finding that out. I never throw shots high and left like that.

I suspect my press on the smaller G17 is causing that.

    Here’s a 20 round group at 25 with the 17.

Put 200 rounds straight out of the box on my new P-09. Here’s my first two attempts with literally everything box stock except for blacking out the dots on the rear sight. 115gr Speer Lawman.

I’m thinking 124gr will probably be right on the money for this pistol. It’s getting Dawson sights and extra mags next paycheck.

I've been a bit frustrated at my 25 yard B8s. Even keeping them all on paper is difficult. I moved up to 20 yards and my group closed up. Guess I just need to keep keeping at it
