At it again. Went to a different store/range in the area I work and had some time to kill, so hit their range. Man, I like the fact that I don't have to play by a bunch of crazy rules shooting where I normally do. Otherwise about all I would be able to do is this kind of stuff.

It's my second best score ever. Shot a 98 5-X with my M9 back in April. I got the old calipers out and measured just for the sake of fun, and I find it somewhat impressive to be able to shoot (not me, but anyone really) sub 4" groups offhand at 25 yards.

Interesting observation today, I was shooting my Gen 5 17 w/ milled RMR and the best I could muster was 96-2x. I figured I was just having a bad day until I grabbed my Gen 3 34 w/ fitted Barsto barrel and shot consecutive 100-5x in my first two groups. Then I just had to shoot a group rested just to see what it’s capable of.

    Is the 34 RMR mounted?

Yes, a Type 2 RM06. I can only shoot low-mid 90’s w/ irons. My eyes just fatigue too fast, I’ve really became a dot-convert in the last year or so.

Freestyle shooting at 25 yds revisited

    8” plate, 25yds. 10/10 hits from draw. 1.78 - 1.80s. Shadow2, USPSA rig. Iron sights, target focus.

I missed the 11th shot after thinking, “Wow! I just went 10/10!”

After seeing GT Distributors having Blue Label Glocks extended to vets, finally had to spring on a 43X for students. No real experience with them previously, picked it up yesterday, got it by the range today. I know, irrelevant to the thread, but out to 10 yards, I'm quite impressed with the little thing for being able to go fairly quickly, and of course had to hit 25 yards at the end of the session. 84 certainly isn't good, but I wasn't displeased and look to see scores go up.

Then went to the EDC. How the hell can you be so stoked and so pissed at the same target? Was great, except dropping two high left, WTF?

Glock 48 shooting 147 Federal Syntech. Stock rear polymer 0.256”, Ameriglo ProGlo 0.180” front.

This target has two runs, the first (three rounds circled) high and right. I put my POA low left for a 71-0x. Nine on paper is not bad for me.

    Nice! That is fast precision!
