My usual range only has 15 yds so had to shoot 10 to find my POA, and then shot this 10 shot group at 25 yards. Looked bad on paper, but scored okay. First shot DA, four SA shots, reload, one shot DA, four SA shots.

I haven't put one up here for a while and a bunch have vanished thanks to Photobucket. I haven't been shooting as much a I usually do (busy with life) but I made it to the range this past Sunday. A couple yards over 25.

I shot the grand total of 20 rounds. Two strings of 10 rounds. Started with a fresh target and taped after the first 10. The to high shots (8 & 9 on the line) were my first 2 shots of the first string. It took me those two rounds to refine my sight picture. I lowered my hold. The next 8 shots all in the 10 ring. A 97 for score.

2nd string my first shot was a hair left and clipped the 9 digit. The next 9 rounds all 10s. A 99 for score.

Freestyle at 25 today with a G19-5 and AmeriGlo BOLD sights.

For my first group, I tried 10 rounds in under 20s from the draw. I didn’t do as well as I wanted but I did pretty well for me. 86/100 in 21.86s.

My second attempt was pure slow fire. The time of the tenth shot was 57.73s. I believe this is a personal best for me in terms of consistency and not score. The round in the head was a flyer that I called as soon as the shot broke. I don’t remember if I got distracted by a nearby wasp or if I just couldn’t hold focus. Still, 9/10 in the black for me is something to be proud of. It helped that I finally realized this gun/sight combo shoots high with 115gr ammo and I need to drive the dot instead of cut the target in half. I think I might be able

That D10 in 20 sec is Kyle Defoors std he puts up all the time. I'm meaning to work that in a lot.

I just realized I didn’t finish the last sentence in my post and it’s too late to edit. It was meant to read “I think I might be able to break 90 soon”

Hat tip to forum member Kirk for the supremely awesome Springfield RO. Ran a walk back drill...five shots at 15-20-25 yards. Was only disappointed in my occasional burp in trigger control.

Nice datapoint on a SA Range Officer. Dayim. My LBO is pretty ridiculous. Leatham surely meant it back at the NRAAM when he said, they know how to build a 1911.
