Funny you should ask. Yes, one of the G45's will be my carry gun. I have 2 other sets of sights inbound for the other one and depending on how they hit I'll probably standardize on some form of Ameriglo with a Hi-viz front.
As for the ammo, I've always carried 147 Gold Dots and then 147 HST for the last 5 years or so. I've always found it to hit a little high. Hence, I have some 124+P GD's inbound along with some other HP ammo from Doc's list and I'm more inclined to just go with whatever load has the POI I want rather than worrying about minute performance differences (as long as it meets FBI protocol).

I have an enormous amount of Gold Dots, so, naturally, I'm curious as to how they do with a set of sights that I already like.
I'm looking forward to your results.

First pic is 115 gr Freedom Munitions remanufactured, Victory First barrel. Second is only 8 shots 25y with 124gr HST, Victory First barrel.
Using stock barrel I generally shoot 83 to 84. This is only one time so I will see if it holds up or is a fluke.

My local range only goes to 21 yards.
Would an NRA b2 target at 15 yards be an acceptable test for pistol and shooter if 25 yards isn't available?
Define "acceptable test", that term is subjective. Any standardized target can be used to track performance. The B-8 repair center is a common standard used by a number of trainers for measuring 25 yard performance as well as other distances. Hackathorn & Vickers will both run e.g. "The Test" - (10 yards, 10 rounds, 10 seconds) and "The Half Test" -(5 yards, 10 rounds, 5 seconds) on a B-8 RC. When affixed to a IPSC target and properly located the black Bull does a good job covering the upper A-Zone.
Proportionally a 5.54" Bull @ 25 yards (NRA B-8 RC) would equate to a 3.32" Bull @ 15 yards. The B-2 has a 3.07" Bull therefore proportionally within 3 tenths on an inch. I don't know if the scoring rings have the same proportional relationship. If you choose the B-2 stick with it and track your performance. However never expect to see a direct proportional relationship in your shooting performance. Being good at a particular distance does not guarantee performance at another, especially increased distances.
