After a number of months not on the range at all, winter, focusing on BJJ, and a few other things, it's time to get back with it. Been hitting the range a bit here lately, and the one major project for the year was to make the plunge to dot. Ordered an optics cut JMCK, 507c, and RDO cut slide from LTT. Got the slide yesterday, mounted the optic, and has a whopping 20 minutes on the way home to zero it and dink a bit. Got it roughed in at 10 yards, moved to 15, made a couple adjustments, shot a single Bill Drill, then moved to 25 for ten rounds like i needed to leave five minutes ago.

Bill Drill was a 2.99, I was slow a hell out of the holster so first shot was 1.95. If I'd have hit a 1.6-1.7, it would have been consistent with what I typically shoot, but the accuracy was very good. Wasn't sure how much difference there would be at 25, so my expectations were very low. When I finally got to the target stand, i was pleasantly surprised. No, not stellar, but considering before today I'd shot a dot gun a sum total of once before last July at the NRA Instructor Cert.

Of course there had to be that one that was just a skish out of the 9 ring. I'm absolutely digging it. I can't wait to get some 50 and 75 yard shooting in.

I wasn't expecting this when I went back to check the target. I had to look at that one flier from the 25 mark for half the string, and expected it to suck.

Bounced to 50 to see what would come of it.

Taught a class today and had 30 minutes to prep the range. Ran a few through the new P365. New front sight has me at 6 o’clock hold.

    Regards.

First string of the fbi bullseye

I decided to stretch it out and do a group at 50. I was excited as i approached the target until i counted and looked down...i coulda been a contenda.

On a side note, the holosun 407co reticle is tailor made for plates and b8's with the whole circle in a circle thing.
