I would too if I had any scotch of note. I have been pretty lucky to have many of the Winkle verities and the 12 year Van Winkle is the best. I would take it over the younger Pappy any day. The older Pappy might be a challenge without the price point in the way.

Would you be interested in some Famous Grouse?

I have some Famous Grouse and Black Grouse. I use them for guest who like a Scotch on the rocks with a little water. It works well that way.

I've had that a few times.
    It was very drinkable.

I agree, certainly for the price.

I have some. I use it to make Penicillins.

If anyone here will be at SHOT we should meet up and get one, they're killer.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

    Ok then:

Got a refill on Mrs.’s Honey Jack today. Nearby was a bottle of Knob Creek. It was an affordable $3x so I thought sure, why not.

Rechecking the thread, this is a “wheaten” Bourbon with a mashbill of corn, wheat, and barley, apparently. (The Bulleit I’d tried had a high Rye content. I thought maybe try something with less Rye since I didn’t like it...)

The Knob Creek has a kind of Single Malt taste, maybe caramel-y or vanill-y? There is a nice initial alcohol rush then it finishes warm.

(I drink Scotch neat, same here).

    I like it.

Thanks all, much appreciate learning from you guys.
