Some Brand I’d never heard of but it was Aged At Sea wth?

Out of that group, I think I’ll try the MM as it was 1.5 l for something like $38 IIRC.
IIRC, I heard that the Kirkland brand is an off-label Makers Mark. Had it once in FL a few years ago. Not bad, but not quite as good as makers.
    Not a fact, hearsay.

I'd opt for the Woodford Reserve or Knob Creek myself...based upon past experience. Maker's is a bit sweet for my taste. Seems that years ago I didn't find it so cloying.

Kirkland isn't bad, go for the higher end stuff, the cheaper stuff isn't worth it.

I like this one a lot. I can't tell how biased I am over the combat vet angle.

My wife sent me to the store to get some basil tonight. We may need to work on our communication.

I’m finishing my writing thesis through the night. It’s about to get silly.

Won a limited release lottery for Van Winkle Reserve 12. What should I mix it with first?
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

If you are anything like my dad you'd mix it with margarita mix. Every time I let that man near my good stuff he goes and mixes it with something when I have my back turned. And on this particular occasion, it was marga-fuckin-rita mix. He no longer gets to see my top shelf whiskeys. *smh*

Your story started off as a joke, and ended with me weeping while Sarah McLachlan played “In the Arms of an Angel” in the background when I realized you were telling a true story. Sending prayers for your situation.
