This one is a little out of my budget.

Tonight my wife and I went to dinner at Mc Gill's on 19 which is located in the tower at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa. I was utterly amazed by their list of bourbon and their prices blew me away!! I had a Weller's 12 yr for $7 for a single pour. They even had Stranahan's for $7. I may be stopping there more often (LOL).

My local place charges $25 for Weller 12, which is evidently known as "poor man's Pappy". Good stuff, no?

Good stuff for sure. Was totally shocked to find it for $7. I would agree it is the "poor man's" Pappy. Its super smooth.

I decided to gamble on these two bottles of Henry McKenna bonded from the same barrel, which I understood was pretty hit-or-miss even for a single barrel when you could find it for $30 prior to 2017.

I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

I went through several bottles of that when it was available. They were all good. Late last year I found one bottle on a shelf somewhere. It wasn’t as good as I remembered it being.

I still have a bottle of that is unopened and I look forward to trying. Paid $45 locally, then add some tax so close to $50 out the door here. Maybe I paid too much for it, but I have been looking for that one for about 2 years with no success so when I found it, I was a buyer.

Now I just need to find an Old Fitz BIB, that has been on my "to buy list" for about the same amount of time.
