Gifted to me by a friend a couple days ago. “It’s like a cherry explosion” he said.
I really enjoyed it as he recommended it - with an ice cube. I’ll try another pour or two this weekend without and see which way I prefer.
Full disclosure: I am a freelance professional photographer/cinematographer for the firearms and defense industry, among others.
Snagged this today at my new local store Grand Opening.

I was inspired by @Jason F 's post.
Had a flight of Pappy 12 year, Weller 12 year, and Elmer T. Lee while in Calabash, NC last weekend.

A breakfast and lunch place with a secret (not on the website that I could find) Bourbon menu and could-be-worse prices.... 'Murica!
Haven't been back to that area since Daughter graduated from UNCW... We try to get out to OBX once a year... Will put this on my if-I'm-nearby list for sure. Maybe drive to Sunset and take the ferry to OBX? Feels like a plan... Just need to convince Wife.
There's no ferry from Fort Fisher? Need to drive to Swansboro or Cedar Island? Not a bad way to spend a day...
Thanks!

Girlfriend wanted to visit the local alcoholic beverages retailer on our way from work yesterday. I went along, not expecting to find much of interest, but lo and behold, this was waiting for me on one of their shelves.
I'm pretty pleased to find something like this locally! This immediately became the new favorite bourbon of our household (and it's pretty rare that our whiskey preferences entirely align).
One technical question though: do all these bottles leak this badly? I mean, it's been less than 24 hours since I removed the plastic seal from around the cork and, well, just look at that bottle now... :P
It is an unfortunate fact that water from Kentucky used to distill bourbon has a very short shelf life. Don't be surprised if it's gone before you know it.
