Thread: AIWB (Appendix Carry)

  1. #2101
I just picked up a G45 and am trying to figure out my AIWB setup. My JMCK WC 2.5 works great for my G19, but not so much for my G45. I’m thinking about switching to the Tenicor Certum 3. Is anyone carrying a G45 using a Certum? 19 or 17 sized?

    I can pee outside.
Not a Glock, but I've carried a 9mm Commander in the Certum 3 for over 3 years now.
Extremely comfortable and infinitely adjustable to get it just right.

Good to know. Do you use a wedge? If I can avoid one, I’m all for it. However, I know they have a place. Any issues on rotation and getting a consistent grip with the clips being so close together?

I use the MMT aiwb pillow, but that's just for my comfort.
    You can use it without.
The DCC clips are set at a perfect distance, not as close as their monoblock.
Very adjustable for ride height and cant. Puts the RMR cc even with the top of the belt.
Zero shifting, always a full grip.
Not trying to be a salesman for the holster, just saying that the C3 works in my situation.

That being said, the JM custom Appendix allows my Beretta Centurion, with an RMR ride pretty much in the same position.

Perfect, exactly what I was hoping to hear.

Gratuitous shot of how the Tenicor tucks a 1911 to your body on a slightly overweight 58 YO.

My Staccato C2is easy to conceal AIWB with a JMCK WC 2.5. I've got a 35" waist, 42" chest and a large t-shirt does the job. I am going to try the Monoblock but having tried the clips I find the metal clips to be a bit awkward depending on the specifics of the belt. I'm wearing a Mastermind Tactics Inner belt in the picture. I find this works just fine for EDC and for competition in conjunction with my usual outer belt.

What is your all’s preferred attachment method for AIWB mag pouches? Currently I use soft loops, but I’m in need of a new JMCK AIWB mag pouch for G17 mags and was debating the Monoblock.

    DCC Monoblock/Discreet Carry Clips

I would like to add additional questions to this discussion in which DCC Monoblock and Discreet Carry Clips are being discussed.

    1. What is the difference between a DCC Monoblock and Discreet Carry Clips?
    2. Of the two, which is the preferred for use with an AIWB holster? Discuss, please.

    Thanks
