Finally peeling the bandaid off and letting others supplement email, shipping, and so on, so that's making stuff even harder, but the momentary period of things being crappy will yield some really cool stuff.
Think for yourself. Question authority.

Another reason to never be in a hurry to reholster.
Wow x2.
First, the statistical chances of that happening, incredibly small. But yeah, it could happen. CRaZy though!
And then to have the gun go off and hit the guy in the nuts but not to lose any important bits?! Whoa.
NEVER be in a hurry to reholster. It can be hard to remember to slow down, especially after you've successfully done it thousands and thousands upon thousands of times. But it only takes that one time...

Regarding belts for AIWB carry, are there any benefits of using a 1.75" belt over a 1.5"? I only have 1.5"ers so I guess I'm just wondering if there is anything I am missing. I mostly carry subcompact pistols and I wonder if a wider belt would better mitigate tipout issues.

Because I owed a debt I could not pay.
It's been my experience that I started appendix years ago with a Wilderness 5 stitch, and a glock 17.
That belt was way too thick and stiff.
Went to the Wilderness 3 stitch in 1.5, but it was still a very thick belt.
I've found the mastermind tactics specialist belt to be the sweet spot between support and comfort.
.... And no giant repelling buckle.
"... And miles to go before I sleep".
Wearing a belt wider than 1.5" just feels "wrong" on my body...
As someone with a bit of belly (just enough to keep warm), MMT, Volund, etc 1.5" are perfect for me, mostly for the infinite adjustability.
My JMCK WC2.5 with steel clips actually rides on the non-reinforced portion of my MMT belt, then I fold the hook over the clips. I don't get much tip out unless I'm leaning forward while sitting down...
Your body dimensions may cause different results... of course.

I switched to the Phlster Enigma system about a year ago, and now I can use basically whatever belt I want to because the weight of the firearm is no longer on my belt & pants, but rather on the Enigma's inner belt. It's pretty rad if you take the time to test & tweak the setup for your body type and your equipment.
