I was out in the Texas Hill Country visiting family today and took some nifty pictures with the camera on my phone. Cold front blew in late Thursday evening and stayed cool all the way till today.

If I ever become lottery-stupid rich, I'm going to have a winter ranch in the Texas Hill Country, and a summer ranch in western Wyoming.
I took some pictures of the clouds too. They were pretty wild
A couple of winters ago we had these all through the field after a windy night. Snow rollers.
Here is my wife with one.
A back in '11 when I still lived on the family farm we that this strange cloud front come through from the north. It was just an overcast day until this came through.
When it got over us you could see up in between the cloud layers. Pretty neat. We got a storm after the line in the sky passed us.

Irelander, I have a few similar to your cloud layer pics. I'll try to find them...
This bird or angel shaped cloud was outside my house last fall
...and a great lightning storm last summer
...and a sunrise our first morning of vacation
