A couple of years ago some buddies of mine and me did a 3 day canoe trip on the Allegheny River from Kinzua Dam to Tionesta. We saw many eagles on that trip. I'm really glad I had my camera. Eagles have made a huge comeback in this area in the last 10 years.

Not sure what bird this is.

Jesus paid a debt he did not owe,
Because I owed a debt I could not pay.

The lower one looks like an eagle, a Golden. Around here, the Bald Eagles hang around the water more, the Goldens hunt the land more. They overlap their areas though.

Sorry for the crappy drive by cell phone pic out the driver window, but we saw this on the way to the LGS today. This is just outside of Bowling Green, KY. Never saw one in the wild before...still gives me goosebumps.

One of the highlights of our summer family trip was watching several species of eagles fish the marina area at Neah Bay, WA. There were at least 15 of them - bald, golden, and another large variety. I could have watched them all day. Magnificent indeed.

Just across from my driveway....bunny snack, there was absolutely nothing left to determine what exactly what the snack was.

The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.

My last vacation trip, I drove out to Hole in the Wall in Wyoming (yes it is a real place, wild bunch and other outlaws hid there). Saw this guy watching the brood (while his mate was out getting food?)...nest is in a dead cottonwood in the middle of a large pond.
