While I wouldnt consider this a "precision" build by any means, I planned this one to be a good compromise between accuracy and light weight. This will be one of my work guns.

Finally got it all together....

*Troy 13.8" TRX "Alpha" BattleRail with built-in flip-up front sight

In the sweat shop: (*Disclaimer:The pic below was somewhat staged. I used the proper receiver block shown in the background to torque the barrel nut on. I was setting it up to install the Troy TRX with the PRI block it is mounted on in the pic)

How it will pretty much be configured. Still need a MagPul RSA and a IWC handstop for the Troy TRX Alpha:


I hope to make it out to the range tomorrow morning to check for function with a few hundred rounds. I have some ASYM 75gr Match ammo on the way to zero it with next week. I will report back with function & accuracy results....

This gun usually wears an RMR as a primary optic... but it was being loaned to a friend.

Pretty simple AR build... I cut off the front sight post since it was getting in the way of the optic... I didn't see any point in paying an extra $70+ for a gas block when I could accomplish the same thing in 5 minutes with a Dremel tool I'll replace it some day with a folding front sight / gas block combo.
