As it sits today: Colt mid length upper, charging handle and bolt carrier group over Sionics lower, Schmid LPK, LaRue MBT-2 trigger, MOE furniture, Troy VTAC rail, Midwest Industries Combat Rifle Sight set.
    6.4 lbs empty.
    "Schmid LPK" ?

    I understand Lower Parts Kit.
Curious info on the "kit", as in source, components, cost, etc.

Obtained from a friend, who bought it some years back from Brownells, IIRC. Mag release, pins, etc. I have no reason to doubt the guy, as he's kind of meticulous. Sionics supplied the takedown pins and bolt catch as part of their "Gutless Lower".

Yeah, Brownells still sells Schmid "branded" parts, just not the "LPK" kit.
Schmid parts are all good to go.
The Sionics "gutless" lowers were a great deal while they lasted.

    Nice rifle.

Schmid Tool and Engineering is the OEM for most duty / premium grade lower parts kits. Colt, BCM, SOLGW, Sionics, Daniel Defense, etc.

    Yep, I'm aware, thanks.
I was not aware they offered an "LPK" and was hoping to source a few if they were available.

A pair of Swiss rifles. Top one is a 1911, the bottom is a K11. (Actually a 00/11). Both made not long after Orville and Wilbur Wright flew at Kitty Hawk. Amazing firearms and incredibly accurate. The long rifle will ding 8” steel plates all day long at 350yds using diopter sights and GP11 ammo.
Working diligently to enlarge my group size.

Added a couple of long guns to the stable over the weekend:

Glenfield/Marlin.30-30 for $375, which I can live with, seeing as anything else in this caliber local to VA seems to be $1G or better.

You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.
