Getting my AR ready for my NODs:
Was going through some stuff and realized I hadn't gotten a pic of this since more-or-less finishing it. Mini M16A4 thing. A1 length stock with a 14.5" barrel and P&W A2X flash hider. Only thing left is rail covers and maybe a mag pouch on the stock. I'm also considering switching out the stock for an RRA entry stock and LAW folder if I can 1.) find a pic of said setup to decide if I'd even like it and 2.) then locate a stock.
@Bigghoss...I had an A2 set up like you are wanting (RRA entry stock with LAW folder) and it was not too bad. IIRC the length of pull was just a bit longer than A1, but shorter than A2. It was alright but the balance was a little wonky with my setup (pretty much stock carbine A2 upper with pinned 14.5 pencil barrel). Tried to change the balance up using a SureFire M500 handguard, but that just ended up making it heavier. Looked oh-so retro tho. Sorry no pics for the pic thread!
First AR build, first AR period:
Anderson lower
Aero slick side upper
Stoner HBAR stainless
Timney Impact trigger
Unknown free-float handguard
UTG A2 stock
PRI gas buster charging handle
It’s now wearing a Sig Romeo5 and flash suppressor.
For Bigghoss:
Some 90’s awesomeness heading your way soon! Why it won’t let me post a pic to PM? I have no clue...
Working diligently to enlarge my group size.
Awesome. I'm excited to try this out. Not sure if it's going to have the right look but I'll either put it to good use or pass it along to someone who will. If I don't like it on the gun above I still have an upper sitting around that I was going to put an LPVO on. Fixed stock might go well with a scope. Or maybe I'll put together a BRN-180.
