    Yup, thinking 11.5,
Just a barrel and a rail.
    <or>just build another 11.5 upper.

Does a short long gun count?

All my SBRs are 11.5. Great length.

    Quiet guns, short and long.

Replaced the fabric heat shield with magpul MLOK panels instead. Happy, but harder than expected to keep them of the gas block.

On the top gun, the VFG and the bipod are really close. Maybe move bipod forward? Or dump the VFG?

Yes they are, long story short, issue is with gas block contact and real estate. I will play with it again later but it is actually function as long as you dont want a broomstick grip on the VFG

Definitely a downside to the MCMR. I’ve started using the Badger gas block for better clearance but there is not much. The MK16 on most of my other guns has a bit more space.

Good points. I've never felt a VFG was needed in that role and dumped the bipod. I'm working on shooting off my bag and while I'm not quite as accurate, it's a skill that I should learn anyways.

Yeah this makes me appreciate the G Mk8 on my SPR.

It's fine, it functions acceptably. I might replace the HG one day but not in a rush.
