Made a few upgrades to the "budget" gun, which is destined to live in my car once I figure out a secure storage solution. This thing started with a BCM blemished SOCOM upper I bought for a steal in 2014 ($329!) and slowly started assembling parts over the past few years. Ok, so this isn't exactly a bargain basement carbine.

New project underway. Had to get the old rotary tool out to get started.
Finally got a chance to piece together my (mostly) Black Friday deals build. This is not its final form...needs a muzzle device and a more appropriate scope. Slapped a 1-8x PA on there for now because it looked naked, and it haven’t decided what I want yet.
Overall I’m really liking how it’s coming together.
Faxon upper, bcg, barrel (18” match series gunner with pinned block)
15” BCM mlok rail
Magpul bipod
Muzzle device pending (A2 inbound until I commit to a suppressor Mount)
Old Lower with UBR; larue MBT
It’s BCM sibling with Accupoint hanging out for good measure.

“Formerly we suffered from crimes; now we suffer from laws.” - Tacitus.
Some improvements to classic local flavor.
Rifle upgrade project wrapping up now. Put a couple coats of BBQ high temp paint on the reprofiled gas block.
New rail installed, a Geissele MK16 blackout version. Talked a lot of trash about Geissele not releasing these rails for sale, so when they became available for Black Friday I had to have one. Also pickes up the SD-C trigger (Amazing), maritime bolt catch, and some tools. The sights are the Scalar Works PEAK fixed.
Light will be a Surefire M600U-DF when I get around to it. Still deciding on optics. I signed up for a Kyle Defoor course in the spring and give his affinity for LPVOs I'm thinking I will get a Razor HD-E with a Scalar tall mount between now and then.
Chose to reprofile the gas block instead of using the included Geissele block for the peace of mind of having the two taper pins instead of dimpled set screws or having to pay or buy a jig to add a third pin cutout to the SOCOM barrel.
I’m really digging the Anchor and LDAG from Rail Scales! Perfect for barricades and a stubby VFG. This is the M-lok version. I have the pic rail version (LDAG) on my AUG. I can’t envision using anything else in that role.
Looked for a Noveske Crusader upper for a long time. Couldn't find one so I built one...first upper I've ever put together from components. This is my "Mini Recce" and am anxious to see how it does with good ammo out to 400 (max distance I can get at my range).
NRW stripped upper
NRW 12.5 stainless bbl
NRW NSR Mlok rail (11")
SF closed tine Warcomp
SF 300SPS SOCOM suppressor (gets passed around to several different rifles)
IWC handstop & front sling attachment point
Magpul bipod adapter (rifle will not typically be used w/ bipod, but wanted the capability)
Troy BUIS, will prob change to offset irons or offset RMR
Nightforce NX8 in Bobro mount
Noveske chainsaw lower, SBR'd
Geissele SSA trigger
LAW tactical folder
Magpul buttstock and PG
Have since added a SF Scout light in Haley mount
Vickers sling
Think that's about it....
My GAP Crusader clone;
12” barrel from LaRue. 11” handguard from Centurion Arms.
