Arthritic Grip/Stance
For folks who are dealing with moderate to severe arthritis... or have an open mind and have trained several individuals suffering from moderate to severe arthritis. (There is a massive influx of arthritic individuals who are interested in defensive handgun use. Very little information available in the current environment. Men and Women.)
Has arthritis mandated any alterations in your/their grip or stance? Weaver, Chapman, Isosceles?
Has gear or caliber selection been impacted? (De-cocking levers, trigger types, safety levers, holster location, etc...)
Gloves that simulate the dexterity (not pain) of arthritis are available. There are also hand-function tests (Sollerman) that evaluate the dexterity of an individuals hand. Has anyone had any level of experience with such devices/tests with respect to operating a handgun?
Any input/thoughts?
