One of the cop distributors, GT I think, was selling BPLE pre panic for like $17 a box, it has gone up quite a bit, when you can find it. I keep some of hand just because the wife's PM9 will feed VERY few JHPs, that that's one on the list.

This stuff shot very well from my Gen 3 Glock 17's. I'm tempted to pick up a few boxes to see how my Gen 4's do at 25 y with it.

The 9BP/BPLE have always been pretty much match grade ammo in every 9mm that I have tried it in. I have used it in the past during matches where accuracy was a big deal.

I can only assume it's because of the huge run on premium JHP ammo in general but the price of 9BPLE (from ATK) has gone up 40% over the past six months. I used to be able to buy it at just a buck or so a box more than practice ammo. Now it's basically the same price as HST. Then again, two or three years ago my HST price was just a buck or two more per box than American Eagle, too.

But I mean, I can't carry a P229 and not at least have some 9BPLE lying around. I keep telling myself I won't carry it... I won't carry it... I won't... All those guys who dropped like flies in IL and IN for years were just shocked by the loud report... I get it...

Southern Ohio Gun has Federal XM9001 (9mm 115gr JHP) for $9.95/box or $199/case. The only issue is that SOG won't calculate shipping on their website. It's calculated after you place your order.
