Metal to plastic. Need to secure a piece of Delrin inside a steel pocket. Is there anything out there that works best for this?
Thanks.

Couldn't you just rough up both pieces real well and use epoxy?
How smooth is the steel? It needs some degree of surface roughness to allow an adhesive to adhere.
Quite smooth, John. It is a machined pocket for a Delrin overtravel stop that had been pressfitted in. The fit is still reasonably tight, but loosened up a bit after heating during ceracoating.
Can you upset the delrin a bit to make it a bit oversize? Like a center punch or something...but you have to be gentle, since delrin can be brittle and shatter. Although, since it isn't going to be stressed, you could just swab a little epoxy on it and push it in and let it set up.
Loctite Hysol would be my first attempt. Been meaning to try the stuff but no opportunity has presented itself.

Think for yourself. Question authority.
Loctite 454 or if you need a lot and want to save some $$ Turbo Fuse gel.
Curing time is SHORT and final bond is not flexible.
I believe both have a rubberized version if you need the bond to remain malleable after curing.

Center punched delrin a bit and sat it on a JB Weld. We'll see what happens. Thanks for advice!
