This I will be interested in. Do you know if it will have a slide cut in the top a la the G34/35 and thus illegal for IDPA?

It's not illegal for the G34/35, just illegal for an extended length G21 with a cut on top of the slide due to "lightening." Bad wording on my part.
This wont be a 21 with an extended slide it will be a 41, just like for idpa purposes a 34 isnt a 17 with an extended lightened slide.

Hopefully the model change will make it legal.
Since the XDm 5.25 in .45 is legal and it has a big old slide cut, I don't see why this wouldn't be.
I do not believe that there will be a slide cut-out as on the G34/35.
