I've done a clean .10-.11 split Bill Drill with a Walther P99, but that was when I was young and my fast twitch muscles still fast twitched.
Since then I've smashed my trigger finger (required stitches and now has scarring) and gotten older and I max out at right around .20 .
    Sucks getting old.

Once I thought I shot .10 and .11 splits with a 9mm 1911, but I suspect the timer was malfunctioning.

As I recall, from speaking with the owner of PACT, their timer's software disregards any splits faster than .12 as being in error.

Gun was doubling. They do that. It's a fact.

My timer as the ability to manually change that. Do the pacts not? Mines set at .11 from the factory

I thought I had shot a .10 or less split. found this in the delete file. this was 18 shots into the A ring at 7 yds as fast as I could pull the trigger.

Looking at that string of fire I'd call the .09 an echo or at the very least a bump fire. When I run drills and see 09s it is almost always echo feedback

I would say I just got lucky. If I understand what u mean by echo then my number if shots shown would be 19? Also if a handgun cycles at .04 or .05 why isn't .09 possible

If it failed to pick up the shot you actually fired but then caught the echo that could happen. It's notable that the split before your 0.09 was 0.40.

It's absolutely physically possible. But let's suppose it was a legitimate 0.09 splits. Given that your average split was almost 0.23 it's meaningless in terms of what you can do on demand... it's just a neat coincidence you pulled off one time. That doesn't make it bad in any way, just not something I'd get too worked up over.

Furthermore, looking at the progression of splits it looks to me like you have a habit of firing fast doubles and then at the end you got finger fatigue and petered out a bit. I don't think I could fire 18 best-split shots in a row, either. But I almost never fire more than 5 or 6 per string of fire.
