I could go for one of these if they made it in .380ACP Long Rifle.

just that they used the warranty guy to intro the new item. As in "meet chris, if you buy one of these you'll get to know him and his department all too well".

Okay so maybe it was a weak-kitten joke.

I want to know which of you guys asked Glock to build this? What were you thinking?

    ^^^I thought it was funny.

Dipping into the irony reservoir even further, given the dimensions and pressure of the cartridge, and the size/design of the 42, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing was GTG for 2000 right out of the box; they've probably solved that problem. But only people who get issued one as a BUG are likely to find out: most buyers probably won't shoot it that often, and most shooters probably won't buy it that often.

The funniest part is if you read any of the comments on youtube/facebook/etc, that's ALL that ANYONE is saying. "WTF WHY ISNT IT 9MM?" It really goes to show that this thing was a huge mistake.

I mentioned earlier in this thread that on Glock's "Glock ID" site (launched about a year ago now), they did a poll right out of the gate about what the public wanted from Glock. Single Stack 9mm won the poll. Glock wasn't listening to anyone on this one.

The poll question was; What product would you like to see next from Glock?

    Choices were: with result percentages.

    Single Stack .45: 22%

    Different Color Glocks: 28%

    Single Stack 9mm: 38%

    Folding Knife: 12%

So, .380 single stack the size of M&P Shield, with one less capacity wasn't even on the poll. I don't think Glock really gets the big picture anymore. Maybe they never really did. They have nothing at all that I'm willing to buy.
