    MGW Sig sight tool

Does anyone know if the MGW Sig sight tool will install Trijicon HD sights on a P229R?

Taadski moved a Dawson FO front and Warren rear on my 226 earlier this week with that tool, and we aim to find out about the HD sights on Saturday on a 226 and 220 upper.

Let me know how it goes.
The H&K USP Trij HD's were an extremely tight fit in my MGW pusher, as in so tight I didn't know if it was going to give me my slide back after I installed them.
Nothing a rubber mallet and some cold blue didn't fix...

    Jody,

The match was cancelled this weekend so we didn't end up meeting up to get this done. I'll share that I've moved a bunch of different sights with the MGW though and don't envision it being a problem. The only ones I can remember having an issue with were .390 high Ameriglo suppressor sights. How tall are the HDs for the Sigs? Do either of you recall?

Hope you have better luck than I did.
Dovetail snapped almost immediately with almost zero force applied.
This is after polishing the bottom of the sight with emery cloth and inserting it 1/3 into the dovetail by finger pressure.
I've installed dozens of front sights with no problems, of course Trijicon won't warranty it.
I ordered a Ameriglo Pro-Glo to replace the broken front sight (same dimensions .230 x .140) and since I'm sending the slide out to be nickel/boron plated I'll just let the plater deal with the install. That way if it snaps it's on them.

Had the same thing happen putting HD's on a pair of SIGPros with an MGW tool. Snapped with very little effort.
