Doc, what distance is that combo zeroed at? What is your hold point / offset at various distances? Say 3, 10, 25, and 50 yards?

Pistol zero is at 25 yds POA/POI center hold. At 50 yds I simply aim at the center of the target, just like at 25 yds. Under 10 yds on small targets like a 2" circle, I need to hold on the upper half of the target to get a center hit.

25 yards standing freestyle with a Ruger Security Six. Ammo is 158 grain LSWC from Double Tap. Group size is about 1.8 inches.

Sweet. You doing production or metallic this year?

Anyways no photo, but I did a five shot 50 - 4x on a Bianchi target, prone at 50 yards. Probably about a 5-6" group.

My opinion if the gun shoots 3-4" rested on the bench, and you shoot a 6" standing freestyle. That honestly isn't too bad of a group size increase.

    Group size?

Can someone explain why group size matters if its not on target?

I tend to shoot for score, so a tight group that's off center tell's me that either my sights are off or that I'm screwing up very consistently and that its not the pistol or ammo.

Nice shooting Caleb. How long is the barrel on your Security 6?

You can adjust sights or your hold point to move a tight group. Hard to do much with a group that looks like a buckshot pattern.
