Beretta 1301 Tactical

While making some content for YouTube, I had rested the barrel against the edge of the desk while messing with the magazine tube. Turns out that's enough to scratch the "Aqua-Tech" finish on the 1301. I'm not an expert, but this looks to be some type of cerakote.

There's absolutely no info about this coating and until now I wasn't sure what it was.

The scratch bothers me a bit, but I'm dealing with it.

AIT arms is good to go! Placed my order Fri for the Nordic extension and it was in my mailbox today. From KC, MO to central TX. Brand new sealed kit with a card and hand written “Thank you” on the order form.

I am not affiliated with them in any way, just a happy customer who took a chance on a google search.


Unfortunately, I’m still a day or out before I can pick up my 1301 as it’s still enroute to my FFL.

Reinstall barrel clamp: yes or no?

The Nordic extension seems pretty robust. It seems like it could survive an impact if dropped or struck on a hard surface?

I like not having to use an allen key to disassemble the gun.

I haven't shot mine with the nordic yet, but I don't intend to ever install the clamp.

Mostly because everyone who uses it seems to have a marred finish, but also because it's an extra step for disassembly.

I don’t really care about the finish. But yeah, it is annoying. Thinking about durability: 3-gunners dump their shotguns pretty hard, and their extensions mostly survive—right?
