I wasn't going to use it with a sling; I was referencing a sling mount that attaches in a similar manner. That mount had a place to put the detent ball. This mount doesn't.

Right...I was adding that I can't speak for sling use because I didn't try that. All I did was shoot the Streamlight mount on the 1301 and in the range trips I didn't see a level of cap loosening that caused me any heartburn. YMMV.

Ok forget what I initially posted here. I got the limiter out, now do I need to put the plug back in or can I just put the end cap screw on to hold it in?

I skipped the plug and haven’t had any problems.

Kinda wanna pick up one of the discounted guns, but I know I'd probably kick myself if the new one turns out to be basically the current, updated Comp with an 18-in barrel, sights and maybe threaded for chokes.

On the other hand, the release of the aluminum Pic rail for the Tac might be a clue. Could end up somewhere in between.

I have been debating between a 1301 Comp 24” and a benelli M2 26” for an all around 12 gauge.
I notice yesterday that the 1301 Comp is missing from the Beretta site now, waiting to see if anything new pops up this next week!
