Ah ... that's not a blem, that's a reject IMO.Except for the recent batch of $69 "blems" that were machined incorrectly and have bases that are not Aimpoint Micro compatible.

What differences are there between the Aridus and the factory rail? Is the main difference the optic co-witness?
Optic co-witness and also not plastic.
It's a direct mount, so it sits lower to allow for a consistent cheek weld and the ability to co-witness the iron sights. Plus, like mentioned, machined aluminum.

Co-witness is good, but the main benefit is that it drops the dot low enough so that the dot is right in the center of your focus when you mount the gun. Red dots are a tad slower on shotguns simply because most of them sit too high. The CROM fixes that.
