On topic: what are people's thoughts about the recoil of the 1301? I'm coming from a Remington 870P, and the 1301 feels noticeable heavier. I no longer have the 870 so this may just be Rosy Retrospection, but I did expect the gas system to soak up a bit of the recoil.
IMO, the recoil of the 1301 is much lighter than any pump I've shot in the past, including a very heavy 590A1. I don't enjoy shooting pump guns at all, and I don't find the Beretta heavy recoiling (for a 12g shotgun) at all.

Is this still going on? Is there a code? I'm due for a 3rd try at getting the right tube...

How does it compare recoil wise to your 18 inch 20 gauge benelli?

Benelli 20 with Brenneke slugs feels like a .308 AR, and the 1301 with Brenneke slugs is considerably more vigorous feeling!

As George stated SHOTGUN20 is the 20% code & per Nordic's MyFace wall it ends 20 June.

Order already placed. Let's hope I don't end up with a mossberg tube for the 3rd time... (not Nordics fault).

I just came back from zeroing a 14 inch M2, equipped with a T2, with slugs. It is darn lightweight, has a Comfertech youth stock with the thinnest pad for a short LOP, and I frankly was not looking forward to this. Surprisingly, it wasn't too bad, and I am hard pressed to differentiate between the M2, M4 and 1301 with slugs. Your mood any individual day is likely to be a bigger variable in how you tolerate recoil, which is stout with full power slugs with all these shotguns.

Does that make the 870 the 1911 or the GP100 of shotguns?
