How is that tape switch attached?

Thanks for answering the questions Gear Fondler. You nailed it.

I debated using the sticky pad included in the kit to mount it. The rails raise the switch off the fore end somewhat. I値l shoot it with the switch on the rails and rethink it.

I used zip ties through the holes in the switch and handguard. Works ok so far. I like that it doesn稚 stick out too much.

I found that it's not a perfect solution... I had to keep my thumb under the switch rail or my hand back behind the switch further than I preferred.
The one time I forgot and braced my thumb against the back of the rail I earned a small blood blister on my thumb tip... Definitely a self-correcting problem.
Hi guys...
I found a more secure pressure switch mounting method.
I briefly tried the zip-tie method, and wasn稚 confident in the snag resistance.
Then I considered stacking it on top of a Pic rail, but that seemed awfully thick.
Then I found this Magpul kit:
Attachment 43809
Drill out the pressure switch mounting holes a bit to fit the hex bolts in the Magpul kit, and use it to attach it to the MLok section on the handguard.
Attachment 43807
The cam nuts on the inside of the handguard look like this
Attachment 43808
It makes for a very secure, low-profile pressure switch, for about 30 minutes work once all the parts are on hand.
