And why the hell is it $20? Add one to each kit and it's bound to be cheaper to produce.

Edit to add: I still wouldn't use it but only because I hate the idea of needing to undo a bolted/thread-locked clamp + anything bolted onto the clamp just to break down the shotgun.

Those silicone sheets appear to have significant thickness. That's a problem, because the clamp is machined to match the radius of the barrel and mag extension. The silicone would just spread the two clamp pieces apart, but when they start to wrap around to the top and bottom of the tubes, they're reducing the radius of the space available for the barrel and extension in a direction different than they move, so the geometry of the whole system ends up fubared. It's not entirely surprising to me that they'd sell that, after my experience trying to install a Nordic clamp on a 870 and having it not fit right due to the "one clamp fits all" attempt. The 1301 clamp is made specifically for the 1301, so it at least fits without the gasket in it. I'd only try this with something like tape, or maybe spray-on Plasti-Dip on the inside of the clamp.

I gave up trying to read through this entire thread. Can someone tell me if adding a CROM, the Nordic extension, Nordic follower, Magpul stock and forend would make a 1301T 922r compliant. I’m pretty sure that’s everything LTT adds to his 1301s and they are compliant.

This is my post where I say everything I think I have to say about that.

Embedded in it is a different conclusion than is in the letter from BATFE that Mr. Langdon has written that he has on file. Neither he nor I seek an argument, so everybody has to decide for themselves what to think and do.

Has anyone seen the letter he has? Ive read through your post previously, and I see your argument, and follow the math that you did. However, I have a hard time believing he would sell something that isn’t compliant.

I looked through the LTT site and this is all that I could find.
