I don't think anyone has ever been charged for violating 922r unless way more was going on.

My understanding is that this new interpretation only impacts Beretta USA by means of them killing our import permit and us needing a new one and being restricted to 5+1 configurations going forward.
Individual owners, dealers, big box shops, and distribution with units in hand are free and clear (and have enough US MFG parts on them to make parts count).

This is a new enough development that it doesn't even seem to have affected pricing much less availability. Gunbroker is still showing a good amount of the 7-round versions at excellent prices. Now would be the time to be if you want one and can afford it.

I was going to wait until shot show to see if there would be any changes. Well, now we know there will be changes in size of the magazine tube.
Because of the change, I decided to get an J131M2TT18F 1301 TAC MOD2 FDE for less than $1,500 shipped to my FFL. It looks like the price has gone up over $300 since I bought mine, from the same online retailer. I agree that as supplies of the current model diminishes, so will the deals.
Beretta has a good Black Friday sale, pro lifters and Mod 2 fore ends in stock.
Kick-eez has their Fighting Pad for the SGA on sale for $36 with code KICKEEZ25 through Monday.
Chisel Stocks as well if I'm not mistaken.
I'm going to pick one up Tuesday. I have a choice of either an OD or a black LE (fixed choke). I've read some less than stellar reports on the Aquatech finish. It appears that the receivers are anodized black under the Aquatech finish, but the pics I've seen of poor finishes wearing off on the barrels look like they are not phosphated (or whatever Beretta uses on the black guns) under the Aquatech coating, just bare steel. Is that correct? I can live with some wear if there is a phosphate finish underneath. Also, are the black guns just anodized and phosphated with no Aquatech? I'd prefer to go with a model with chokes, but don't want bare steel exposed when/if the Aquatech starts to fail. Thanks in advance!
