If one were looking to play catch-up and buy a new 1301 today:
    1) is there a specific sku to look for to get new hotness and avoid any old busted?
    2) what would be the going street price for said model?
    3) worth chasing the LTT version? Any downside to doing so?

This a viable option? Other than potential objection to the color, any downside?

While black may or may not be the latest model, my understanding is that FDE, green and the marine coat models are the latest. $1,165 is low available pricing lately, up to ridiculous premiums. The LTT has nice features, but the basic new 1301 is perfectly usable with a Nordic extension.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

If you want all the bells and whistles the LTT version is the easy button... You will spend the same or more buying all the extras plus deal with the frustration of trying to track down all the parts separately (most of the parts are routinely out of stock).

Eurooptic has four different colored models and all are listed as gen 2 versions. https://www.eurooptic.com/search.asp...a+1301+tactica

Funny, how the black is the more expensive(also the mariner), usually it is the cheapest and the other colors are the more expensive options.

I bought mine @ Prepper Gun Shop and all are Gen 2. I've made numerous purchases there and have always been satisfied.

I was looking at those screws and was like, "Certainly those are thread locked". Welp, I guess I need to do that and repaint my index marks.

My guess is fewer people want FDE or OD green and they're having relative "touble" unloading them. Kinda like how they adjust odds in Vegas to even out the bets.

That’s my thinking as well. I think I’ve even seen the green as a lesser expensive option than the others.

I wonder if the marine finish really accomplishes what it is supposed to vs the other colors. My intended purpose here is something to keep in a locked safe in the bedroom, and likely never really touch the thing. Wife shoots a Beretta for sporting clays so the familiar manual of arms should be better than my current 870 which I know has been confusing for her.

I’m guessing that the tan or green, or probably even the black, will do just fine with rust even in humid S FL. If the marine coat does anything at all my guess is that it only really matters if the gun is getting handled a lot, not if it’s just sitting there making me feel good.

    Thanks…

    These things are cash money.

Also, some folks have modified this lifter to open more to dump shells out, all at once, at least that’s what I assume it was for.
Can the gun be ghost loaded with this lifter?
